Apple has been forced to delay the launch of its HealthKit fitness apps for its long-awaited iOS 8 due to a software bug,
According to CNET, an Apple representative said the company was working to develop a solution in the next couple of weeks.
Being a key feature of the iPhone-maker's new iOS 8, HealthKit is expected to play an important role when the Apple Watch launches next year.
Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said in a statement that the company discovered the bug that prevents them from making HealthKit apps available on iOS 8 today.
The company said that it was working quickly to have the bug fixed in a software update and have HealthKit apps available by the end of the month, the report added.
