Until now, you had to load iTunes to listen to an Apple Podcast. Now, the company has updated the web interface for Podcasts to make it easier for you to listen to your favourite podcasts without the compulsion of having iTunes.
The web interface is now cleaner, easier to navigate, and more streamlined. As The Verge reports, episodes have their own landing page too, which includes show notes and another opportunity to listen.
However, to read reviews or access trending charts, users will still have to move over to iTunes.
It has been long-rumoured that Apple is moving towards phasing out iTunes and with the new episode links that use podcasts.apple.com, it seems all the more likely to be true.
