Apple has been sued for patent infringement by DSS Technology Management by providing wireless Bluetooth connections to a plurality of peripheral devices.

The parent company Document Security Systems (DSS) claimed that Apple's products, including iMac, Mac mini, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nano and the forthcoming Mac Pro, of infringing two of its patents, PCWorld reports.

According to the report, these Apple devices use a wireless communication system that employs "low duty cycle RF bursts," a technology that is claimed in DSS Technology Management's patents.

Both patents are titled "Personal data network" and were obtained by DSS Technology Management last quarter.

The company is seeking monetary damages and royalties for unlicensed use of the technology covered by the two patents, the report added.
