Armed gunmen on Thursday robbed a bank of Rs 13.38 lakh at the gunpoint in Arihal area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama.
As per reports four-five masked armed men barged into Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Arihal and robbed Rs 13.38 lakh - Rs. 2.23 lakh in old denomination notes and Rs. 11.15 lakh in new notes - and fired gunshots outside while leaving the bank, said police.
Police has launched a search operation and investigation is underway.
Last month, Rs 12 lakh was robbed from the Budgam branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank. The police later arrested few over-ground workers of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) for the crime.
