India's leading multi-genre, multi-format digital media destination Arre on Wednesday announced its tie-up with Ola Play, the world's first connected car platform for ridesharing.
The tie-up will offer a wide range of digital content for customers while they are on the go.
It will also provide Ola's Prime Play customers a range of popular and trending web-series, social experiments, reality shows, documentaries, as well as non-fiction products, from Arre's stable. These include Arre's hit series Official Chukyagiri, and other short format contextual videos.
"We're delighted to partner with Ola to bring premium original content to Ola's young and upwardly mobile customers. Ola Play is a unique new medium to build for, and experience engaging, entertaining and personalised content," said co-founder and CEO Arre, Ajay Chacko.
"Ola Play is a radically new approach and cutting-edge innovation to the ridesharing world, which revolutionizes the way customers interact with their vehicles and defines the future of shared mobility," said senior director and head of Ola Play Ola, Ankit Jain.
"Our partners form an integral part of this vision to make Play a truly connected and immersive experience for the customers. In this regard, we are excited to partner with Arre and bring some of their most popular videos and other digital content to our Prime Play users," added Jain.
Ola Play, launched in November 2016, has transformed the in-cab experience for tens of thousands of Indian consumers by bringing advance car controls, choice of personalized content and a fully connected interactive experience, to the backseat of the cab.
Beyond offering a highly personal experience for users during their rides, Ola Play also allows partners such as Apple Music, Sony LIV, AIB, TVF, Audio Compass and Fynd to build a high quality interactive experience for users.
It is available to all Prime Play customers in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi and will be rolled out to over 50,000 vehicles by March 2017.
