Arsenal became the third most followed team on the social network after becoming the first Premier League club to reach five million followers on Twitter.
Arsenal revealed in a news release on Monday that they had consolidated their position as the third most followed team on the social network behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Managing editor of Arsenal's media group Richard Clarke said that they are delighted to have engaged so many passionate fans of the club around the world, adding that the interest continues to grow, Sport24 reported.
Clarke also added that they constantly evolve their approach to keep their fans engaged with what is happening across every aspect of the club.
Arsenal is currently placed at the sixth position in the league, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea, and will play their next fixture at home to London rivals Queens Park Rangers on Friday, the report added.
