Sacked Australian cricket coach Mickey Arthur has said that he did not intend for sensitive information, including details of a rift between Michael Clarke and Shane Watson, to be made public.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Arthur revealed in a statement that he was extremely upset and disappointed that confidential documents appeared to have been given by others to the media.

The report said that Arthur is taking Cricket Australia to court as he seeks up to 4 million dollars in compensation, and was particularly explicit in his documents, alleging that Clarke had described Watson and his faction as a cancer on the team.
