Arvind Panagariya appointed vice-chairman of NITI Aayog

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appointed renowned economist Arvind Panagariya as the vice-chairman of NITI Aayog.

Economist Bibek Debroy and former Secretary Defence R and D Dr. V.K. Saraswat have been appointed as the full-time members.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu and Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh have been appointed as the ex-officio members.

Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot and Union HRD Minister Smriti Zubin Irani have been appointed as the special invitees.
