Assam celebrates 66th Republic Day amidst massive security

Amidst a massive security arrangement, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi unfurled the national tricolor on the occasion of the 66th Republic Day at the Veterinary Playground in Khanapara here on Monday.

Chief Minister Gogoi took the salute of the army, police paramilitary personnel and the NCC personnel participating in the parade.

Earlier in the day, two low intensity blasts occurred in Digboi town in the Tinsukia district of Assam. According to reports, the blasts occurred in garbage dumps.
