Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak on Friday called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convey his good wishes to the latter over his party's win in the recent assembly polls.
"Malaysian PM The Honourable Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak called PM today to felicitate on the election results. @NajibRazak," tweeted Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
Earlier this week, French President Francois Hollande and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also congratulated Prime Minister Modi for the splendid win of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the assembly polls.
Prime Minister Modi-led BJP had a landslide victory in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and is also staking claim to form a government in Goa and Manipur.
