At least 100 Afghan students hospitalised after eating poisoned beans in Herat

At least 100 school boys have been admitted to a hospital in Herat, Afghanistan, after reportedly consuming poisoned beans outside their school gates on Saturday.

According to reports, the incident took place at Herat's Fateh High School.

The boys, aged between ten and fourteeen years, fell unconscious after eating the beans that were being sold by a local vendor.

Herat Police have confirmed the arrest of the vendor and said that a probe has been launched into the incident.
