Australia posted a daunting 509-run target for England on Sunday after declaring their second innings at 254-2 shortly before lunch on day four of the second Ashes Test at Lord's.
Resuming at an overnight position of 108-0, Australia suffered an early blow when Chris Rogers (49) got retired hurt after experiencing a dizzy spell. Rogers received immediate medical attention before helping off the field.
Subsequently, Steve Smith and David Warner accelerated the innings before the dismissal of the latter on a well-constructed 83.
Smith struck a quick-fire 58 off 48 deliveries before falling prey to a delivery by Moeen Ali, who also dismissed Warner.
Captain Michael Clarke and Mitchell Marsh then remained unbeaten on their respective scores of 32 and 27 before declaring the innings.
England currently lead the five-match Test series 1-0 after thumping title holders Australia by 169 runs in Cardiff.
