Australia's first tennis court for dogs has been constructed in Logan.

The tennis court was built by Glenn Elin of the Animal World Pet Resort to allow for a unique animal exercise experience, Courier Mail reported.

He said that dogs can't play tennis, but they love chasing the balls.

Since the court has synthetic grass, Elin said, dog owners could let their pets out even if it's raining most of the day, unlike the normal grass that would turn to mud.

This way, dogs can enjoy more exercise, he added.

With swimming pools for dogs already used in pet-care resorts, Elin said the tennis court idea would definitely catch on.
