Glenn Maxwell's scintillating 85 helped Australia post a massive 300-run target for England in the fourth one day internationals of the five-match series at Leeds on Friday.
Opting to bat first, George Bailey scored 75, while openers Joe Burns and Aaron Finch were dismissed cheaply for two and 15 respectively.
Skipper Steve Smith scored a meager five runs before getting dismissed by David Willey.
For England, all-rounder Willey clinched three wickets while Liam Plunkett and Moeen Ali shared four wickets between them.
Subsequently, wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade and John Hastings remained unbeaten at 50 and 34 respectively.
England are currently trailing 1-2 in the series after claiming a 93-run victory over Australia in the third ODI at Old Trafford in Manchester.
