The 88th Academy Awards are on the roll, but India has yet to send its nominations, the attention grabber over here is the fact that whether the jury will favour indie films like past two years or will it give a chance to this year's blockbusters.
'Bahubali,' the Telugu and Tamil-language historical epic that is touted as India's most expensive film, is considered to be a top contender in the Oscar race and some other commercial heavyweights under consideration include 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan,' 'Piku,' 'PK' and 'Haider,' reports the Dawn.
Regional language movie such, as 'Kuttram Kadithal,' is a critical favourite and a number of Bengali films are also in the race.
India's Oscar selection will be announced on Wednesday or Thursday.
