Bangladesh to observe Shab-e-Barat on June 2

People in Bangladesh have been asked to observe Shab-e-Barat, the holy night of fortune and forgiveness, on the night of June 2, as the Sha'ban moon was sighted across the nation yesterday.

The National Moon Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation office of Baitul Mukarram took the decision in this regard.

According to the Daily Star, Shamim M Afzal, director general of the foundation and member secretary of the committee, presided over the meeting.
