A BBC presenter has reportedly blamed hayfever for making a taunting cooment on former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli's looks last year.
John Inverdale claimed to have been afflicted by hayfever-suffering when he said Bartoli was 'never going to be a looker' which embroiled protests against the anchor, with the organization receiving 600 complaints.
According to the BBC, Inverdale asserted that he had terrible hay fever and had not realised his statement.
He further said that the BBC had drummed into him not to apologise as they felt it would push him deeper into trouble.
