Following rape allegations, BBC has pulled an upcoming Agatha Christie drama starring Ed Westwick from the schedules.
As reported by Metro, the BBC said in a statement, "These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied. The BBC is not making any judgement but until these matters are resolved we will not include Ordeal By Innocence in the schedules".
They also stated how the 'Gossip Girl' star 'paused' filming on BBC series 'White Gold' taking note of the allegations.
"The independent production company making White Gold has informed us that Ed Westwick has paused from filming while he deals with these allegations", the BBC statement adds.
Ed was accused of rape by Kristina Cohen, who alleged she was sexually assaulted at his home three years ago.
Following that, a second woman, Aurelie Wynn, also made similar allegations against Ed Westwick.
Ed has since denied all the allegations against him and had tweeted, "It is disheartening and sad to me that as a result of two unverified and probably untrue social media claims, there are some in this environment who could ever conclude that I have had anything to do with such vile and horrific conduct. I have absolutely not, and I am cooperating with the authorities so that they can clear my name as soon as possible".
The crime-thriller 'Ordeal By Innocence' was a part of BBC's Christmas TV line-up and includes an ensemble cast of Bill Nighy, Catherine Keener, Matthew Goode and Eleanor Tomlinson.
