Benedict Cumberbatch officially onboard to play 'Doctor Strange'

Benedict Cumberbatch has been confirmed to play the title role in Marvel's upcoming 'Doctor Strange.'
According to the Hollywood Reporter, after a lot of speculations, studio's president Kevin Feige said in a statement that the role required an actor who had great depth and sincerity, and the 38-year-old 'Sherlock' star "will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character."
The 1960's series, which was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, would be adapted to big screen by Scott Derrickson.
