Bill Clinton has revealed that he hopes that if a real alien invasion were to happen, it shouldn't be similar to the film 'Independence Day'.

The 67-year-old politician told Jimmy Kimmel that he wouldn't be surprised if aliens ever visit Earth, news.com.au reported.

He said that there would be some upsides to a hostile alien invasion, but it might be the only way to unite this increasingly divided world.

Clinton added that it's the theory of the film, where everybody "gets together and makes nice.
