Biomechanics expert Foster feels 'sympathetic' for Ajmal's exclusion from WC

Renowned biomechanics expert Daryl Foster said that he has tremendous sympathy for the Pakistan ace off-spinner Saeed Ajmal, who was left out of the World Squad in view of a suspect bowling action.

Foster, who coached Western Australia to nine Sheffield Shield wins, said that he had tremendous sympathy for any bowler that was called for chucking, Gulf News reported.

The biomechanics expert further said that Ajmal carried Pakistan in all forms of cricket, not just one-day cricket, for four or five years.

Blaming shorter format of the cricket for his dubious action, Foster said that Ajmal must have developed bad habits over a period of time, adding that Twenty20 cricket had contributed a little bit to this.

Earlier this month, the ICC had said that the ace spinner could return to international cricket after tests cleared his remodelled bowling action.

Foster played a crucial role in monitoring former Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan' bowling action in 1995, 1999 and 2004, and also in analyzing former Pakistan pace spearhead Shoaib Akhtar's bowling.
