BJP cancelled Amethi Food Park out of 'vengeance': Rahul Gandhi (Update)

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre had cancelled the Amethi Food Park in Amethi out of vengeance.

"If the food park comes to existence you all will benefit from it. The BJP cancelled the Food Park just out of vengeance," Gandhi said.

"It is sad that there is no Congress Government in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. But whatever we can do, be it on the roads, the Lok Sabha, the Vidhan Sabha, Rajya Sabha, we will definitely do," he added.

Gandhi further alleged that the farmers, tribals and the poor would score the NDA government zero for its performance in the past one year.

"On one hand the weak, the poor, farmers, dalits, adivasis, will give zero score to this government, on other hand a few industrialists will give this government a score of 10/10," he said.

The Congress vice-president is currently on a three-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, Amethi, his first visit since December 2014.
