The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday condemned the attack on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders in Kerala and held the CPM responsible for the untoward incident.
"There have been reports of a gruesome killing. There can be political differences between people but where is the place for violence? We expect the authorities there to act in an impartial manner and solve the case speedily," said BJP national spokesperson Nalin Kohli.
Kohli also accused the CPM of orchestrating the attack.
"Cadres of CPM in Kerala have attacked RSS cadres in the past also," he said.
Two Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders were attacked by unidentified assailants in Kannur, Kerala, on Monday, leaving one dead and the other critically injured.
Meanwhile, the RSS and the BJP have called for a shutdown in Kerala in wake of the attack.
