The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has filed a case against a person who posted "vulgar" cartoons of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter.
The Karnataka BJP IT Cell team filed the complaint against Mitesh Patel for his cartoon.
According to reports, multiple complaints have been filed against Patel across the country for defaming Prime Minister Modi.
In the cartoon, Mitesh made references to the recent controversy over ABVP issuing rape threats to a Kargil martyr's daughter.
Earlier, BJP spokesman I P Singh of Vishesh Khand, Gomtinagar lodged an FIR at Vibhuti Khand police station alleging that Patel, a member of Aam Aadmi Party, had posted a cartoon on Twitter.
