Supporting superstar Rajinikanth's decision to take part in a charity event in Sri Lanka's Jaffna, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said rather than condemning this act, the anti- national elements should take part in this initiative.
"Rajinikanth is raising money for charity and for the welfare of the people in Jaffna. In spite of condemning Rajinikanth all these anti-national elements, which don't want India to be united country should take part in it. All the rest of India and the bulk of the people of Tamil Nadu and Jaffna they all are welcoming his move," BJP leader Subramanian Swamy told ANI.
Swamy said that the Human Right Commission has rejected the reports of genocide over there but rehabilitation is necessary in these areas.
Rajinikanth will take part in a charity event, which is scheduled to take place on April 9 in Jaffna, where he will present keys to 150 homes built by Gnanam Foundation.
Gnanam Foundation has been focusing on re-building infrastructure in the key areas of Sri Lanka, which were badly affected in the civil war which took place around three decades ago.
