The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday hit out at former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav's allegations that former finance minister Yashwant Sinha offered money to three MPs of his Indian Federal Democratic Party to join the BJP-led NDA in 2001.

"Mr. Pappu Yadav and his literary skills as an author don't deserve the comments from a responsible political party like Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)," BJP spokesperson Captain Abhimanyu said.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Yashwant Sinha refused to comment on the allegations made, saying, "it would be an injustice to me".

Yadav, in his autobiography 'Drohkaal ka Pathik', also claimed that during the July 2008 trust vote, both the Congress and BJP had had offered "Rs. 40 crore each" to MPs for their support

Earlier in the day, Yadav said: "When I am writing my autobiography, then it is obvious that the incidents which happened would be mentioned. So when I am writing everything then I will also write what I saw, amongst other things.
