Celebrations erupted at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters here as the NDA won 14 seats in the Bihar legislative council elections while the Nitish Kumar-led alliance managed to win just nine of the 24 seats.
"It is a moment of celebration. The win was registered in Bihar and the celebrations are also taking place in Delhi. BJP will form the next government in Bihar, that is for sure," said party spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain.
The elections for the Bihar Legislative council were held on Tuesday with an estimated 94 percent voting recorded during the polls.
