BlackBerry has reportedly rejected the proposal of teen-sensation Justin Beiber, who offered himself as the sinking smartphone company's brand ambassador for a petty 200,000 dollars and 20 phones.
Senior development manager at RIM (now, BlackBerry) between 2001 and 2011, Vincent Washington, came with the Canadian kid's proposal for the company thinking it would be loved by his fans for the Canadian-connection.
However, Washington revealed that the company downright rejected the proposal saying Beiber is a fad and not going to last, Cnet reports.
Washington added that the marketing people basically threw them out of the room and when he said that Beiber might outlive RIM, everyone laughed, the report added.
