At least five people including three kids were killed and 22 others injured when a bomb hit security forces' convoy in Pakistan's northwest Peshawar city on Sunday afternoon, local media reported.
Urdu TV channel ARY said that the incident happened at about 12: 30 p.m. (local time) when a bomb went off and hit a convoy of security forces passing by Badaber area of Peshawar, the capital city of the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
Bomb disposal squad officers said that the bomb was detonated by a remote-controlled device and an estimated 50 kg of explosive materials were fixed in a roadside parked car.
The injured people including Frontier Constabulary personnel and policemen have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where several of them were said to be in critical condition.
No group claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
