Boat capsizes in Bahraich, over ten missing
More than ten persons have been reported as missing after a boat capsized in a river in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.
Bahraich District Magistrate, Kinjal Singh, said villagers were returning after visiting a fair, when their boat capsized.
As per local media reports, three people had managed to swim ashore.
The state government has announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs.two lakh for the next of kin of the deceased.
