Striker Bobby Wood stole the show on Wednesday night as the United States swept aside World Cup champions Germany 2-1 in an enthralling international friendly at the RheinEnergie Stadium.
Although Mario Goetze put Germany ahead in the 12th minute, midfielder Mix Diskerud netted the equalizer for the visitors shortly before the half-time, Sport24 reported.
Wood subsequently scored the decisive goal in the 88th minute to steer his side to an emphatic victory.
The USA had also edged past Netherlands 4-3 in a friendly fixture in Amsterdam on Friday.
