Body of woman Naxal commander found in Sukma

Body of a woman Naxal carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh on her head was recovered in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Wednesday.

The body of Naxal, identified as Jyothi Muriyami, was found after an exchange of fire between Naxals and Sukma District Reserve Guard (DRG) team near Chitalnar and Dondipadar forests of Pusphal area, on Wednesday evening.

Muriyami, who was a commander of Peoples' Liberation Guerrilla Army platoon no. 31 of Maoists, was active in the Kanger Valley area along Chhattisgarh-Odisha border.
