Australian fast bowling all-rounder Doug Bollinger has said that he is keen to stay at the forefront of Test selectors' minds as he will never give up on a Test recall.

The New South Wales (NSW) player last played Test cricket in 2010, when he struggled against England at the Adelaide Oval and was criticised for his lack of fitness, although his devastating start to the Sheffield Shield this year may put forward his Test hopes.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Bollinger credited his domestic form to having a proper off-season and a better attitude to fitness, which he chose to apply in the Shield, rather than spending it cashing in on the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The report mentioned that the left-armer has taken 14 wickets at 21.8, making him the leading fast bowler in Shield cricket this year and the fourth-highest wicket-taker overall.

Stating that he still has ambitions of adding to his 12 Test caps, Bollinger also said that he is just trying to ride the wave in doing what he can and having fun alongside, adding that no one knows what the future can hold for anyone.
