South African cricketer Johan Botha, who is the captain of domestic Australia side South Australia, is reportedly tight-lipped about being cleared of an illegal bowling action following his canceling a scheduled media conference.
The South African-born offspinner passed biomechanical testing after being reported by umpires for a suspect bowling action in SA's one-day match against rival side Victoria on October 4.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the SA Cricket Association said that although Botha was pleased to be cleared, he however, did not want to speak about it further at this time.
The report mentioned that Botha was also cited on the same suspicion while playing for South Africa in his Test debut in 2006, and also during a one-day international three years later, although he was cleared by biomechanical tests after being required to bowl six deliveries from each of his repertoire - an offspinner, quicker ball, and 'flicker' ball.
