Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has reportedly announced his World Cup squad, which-without any surprises-includes most of the players who won last year's Confederations Cup.
Scolari has reportedly chosen 16 players from the team that won the warm-up tournament last year by beating world champion Spain in the final, as part of his 23-strong squad for the major tournament that kicksoff next month.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Brazilian manager's squad will include a mixture of talented young stars such as Neymar and Oscar with more experienced players such as Dani Alves, David Luiz, Thiago Silva and Hulk.
Past Brazilian stars such as Kaka and Rohinho, who were stars in the 2010 World Cup, had been hoping of playing in the tournament at home but were expectedly left off the squad, including 2002 world champion Ronaldinho.
Scolari said that only two spots remain in the team, with doubts circulating over third goalkeeper and fourth central defender, which had been filled by Atletico Mineiro goalkeeper Victor and Napoli defender Henrique.
Seven alternates would reportedly be announced in the coming days.
