The guards in-charge of the personal security of the Queen of Britain have been put on high alert following threats directed at them by the Islamic State (IS) militants.
According to the Mirror, the Queen's Guards have been warned about the threat to kidnap and murder one of their number by glory-seeking IS terrorists.
The report quoted a source as saying that the intelligence picked up an internet chatter, which was being taken seriously.
The source said that the terror group was well aware that it was a difficult task to attack a member of the Royal family, but one of the Queen's Guards would be a huge target for them.
The source further said that action had been taken accordingly, adding that the threat was so acute that some guards have already been moved.
