A British woman has been kept in an Iranian jail for the last two months after she attempted to watch Iranian national men's team playing volleyball in Iran's Azadi stadium, in June this year.
Ghoncheh Ghavami was arrested along with more than a dozen women as they tried to enter the stadium. Though she was released from custody, when she went back to collect her belongings, she was re-arrested for the second time and transferred to Tehran's notorious Evin jail, ABC News reported.
The 25-year-old, who studied law in London, has dual Iranian and British nationality.
Meanwhile UK's Foreign Office said that it was aware that a British national was being detained in Iran, and that they are in touch with her family and following-up with the case.
