BSE closes 237.9 points down on July 21

Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 237.98 points down to stand at 28,182.14.

At the national stock exchange, the Nifty closed 74.00 points down to stand at 8,529.45.

Infosys Ltd. and TTK Prestige Ltd. were among the top gainers of group A with an increase of 11.29 percent and 7.36 percent along with Bharti Airtel Ltd. and HCL Technologies Ltd. with an increase of 3.62 percent and 2.91 percent respectively, while the top losers of group A include Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and Unitech Ltd. with a decrease of 14.95 percent and 8.02 percent along with Welspun Corp Limited and Jet Airways (India) Ltd. with a decrease of 6.83 percent and 6.61 percent at the close of the markets.

The auto sector is down 67.98 points at 18,867.79 while the banking sector is down 361.90 points at 21,477.64 and the realty sector is down 29.91 points at 1,354.54. The Indian currency is up 0.16 percent at Rs 63.56 per dollar.
