BSE closes 28.29 points down, Nifty down 5.55 points

Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) closed today 28.29 points down to stand at 27,932.90.

At the National Stock Exchange (Nifty), it closed 5.55 points down to stand at 8,454.10.

Aban Offshore Ltd.and NIIT Technologies Ltd.were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 15.06 percent and 11.48 percent.

IIFL Holdings Limited and KPIT Technologies Limited with an increase of 10.13 percent and 6.88 percent respectively were also top gainers.

The top losers of Group A included PMC Fincorp Limited and Tata Motors Ltd. with a decrease of 4.98 percent and 4.10 percent respectively.

DCB Bank Limited and India Cements Ltd. with a decrease of 3.84 percent and 3.66 percent were the other losers at the close.

The auto sector went down 173.42 points at 18,524.92, while the banking sector went down 119.27 points at 21,547.84.

The realty sector went down 7.92 points at 1,409.81, while the Indian currency was down 0.11 percent at Rs 63.44 per dollar.
