The Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party has released its first list of 49 candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections, which is scheduled to be held in the second half of the year.
The list includes the names of five women for the assembly polls.
The president of the BSP"s Bihar unit, Bharat Bind, was quoted, as saying that the first list had been prepared in consultation with the central leadership of the party.
