A senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and District Panchayat member of Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, Nandlal Mudami, was brutally attacked a group of unidentified people, suspected to be Naxalites.
Nandlal, a resident of Dantewada, came under attack when he was having food at his residence on Sunday. The assailants attacked him with sharp weapons, due to which he sustained critical injuries.
Although the BJP leader is getting treated at the Dantewada district hospital, he may get air-lifted to Raipur for further treatment as his condition remains critical.
Further details are awaited.
