Cricket Australia has said that the mystery tweeter who posted an offensive tweet using its official account during the Lord's Test last week has still not been able to be determined, after beginning an investigation into the matter.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the tweet, promptly deleted, had that a controversial umpiring decision during the second Test was wrong, in its abusive language.
Cricket Australia said that while Twitter records of users logged in to the account at the time revealed some unusual IP addresses from overseas (not the UK), nothing could be pinpointed.
CA also said that it has reviewed its security on its social media accounts and put processes in place to minimise the possibility of this occurring again.
