Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed his on-loan winger Wilfried Zaha to have the potential to be as good as Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo following his impressive debut.

The Manchester United player kicked off his loan spell at Cardiff with an inspired second-half comeback in his debut match against Norwich City that hauled Cardiff off the bottom of the Premier League.

According to the Mirror, Solskjaer reckoned that Zaha's form could prove a glimmer of light for United boss David Moyes in the long run and has tipped him to eventually fill the void left by Ronaldo at United, saying that Zaha is one of the best he has seen with the ball.

The former Norwegian footballer also said that Zaha has quick feet and is brave like Ronaldo, although he added that the footballer needs to make a decision about how good does he want to be and how much does he love this game in order to become a proper player like Ronaldo.

According to Solskjaer, he has never seen anyone work as hard as Ronaldo, who he branded as an extremely dedicated player, adding that Ronaldo always had the desire and the passion from within his heart to succeed on the field.

Zaha has been unable to live up to the 15 million pounds United paid a year ago but has now found a manager who knows how to succeed at Old Trafford, the report added.
