Carrie Fisher, who was compelled to shed weight, believes that she is the part of industry where only weight and appearances matter the most.
In a recent interview, the 59-year-old actress reveled that she was forced to lose almost 16kg weight in order to reprise her role as Princess Leia Organa in the new Star Wars movie 'The Force Awakens', News.com.au reports.
Talking about difficulties she encountered while losing weight, the 'Star Wars' actress said that losing weight was not a cakewalk for her, like everyone she too had too ate less and worked out more.
Fisher also expressed her frustration over Tinseltown's obsession with appearance.
Helmed by J.J. Abrams, the upcoming Star Wars flick is slated to hit the theaters on December 18, 2015.
