The Central Bureau of Investigation today arrested General Manager Western Coalfield Limited, Padmapur in Maharashtra for demanding and accepting a bribe of three thousand rupees from the Complainant.
A case was registered on Thursday against the general manager and the Complainant had alleged that the former had demanded a bribe of rupees 4,000 from him for passing his bills towards repairing of machine at WCL Padmapur Area.
The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.3,000 from the Complainant. Searches are being conducted at the premises of the accused.
The accused will be produced tomorrow in the Special Court at Chandrapur .
