Centre to give Rs 100 crore to Maharashtra minorities' welfare body

Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the government will give 100 crore rupees to the Maulana Azad Minorities Financial Development Corporation for providing financial assistance and subsidised loans to members of minority communities.

Naqvi met minority community leaders, and took detail review of the implementation of minority welfare schemes in the state.

He also urged the state to speed up implementation of minority related schemes and utilization of central funds.
