The Uttar Pradesh Police has filed a chargesheet against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah based on a video in which he allegedly made a hate speech during the run up to the 2014 Lok Shabha elections.
Circle Officer Yogendra Singh said, "Amit Shah has been booked under the Sections 153,195, 295A and 505. The Sections have been decided based on the contents of the CD."
The BJP leader had during his speech made on April 4 reportedly said that it was time to seek revenge for the killings during the last year's riots in Muzaffarnagar.
