Charlie Hebdo to publish 'journal des survivants' next week in wake of deadly massacre

The French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo will be publishing a "journal des survivants" next week as financial and other forms of support continues to pour in from media organizations after Wednesday's deadly attack at the newspaper's headquarters in Paris.

According to The Guardian, around 20 survivors of the attack on Friday gathered for their first meeting at the office after Wednesday's attacks where 12 people had been killed including eight journalists and two policemen.

The meeting was attended by cartoonist Luz who escaped the shootings as he was late on Wednesday, columnist Patrick Pelloux, reporter Laurent Leger and the paper's lawyer Richard Malka.

Malka said, when asked about the mood as he came outside the room, that they were organizing the work.

The edition will be restricted to eight pages instead of 16. The journalists asked for their privacy to be respected as they worked on next Wednesday's "special survival".
