'Cheat India' trailer: A hard-hitting tale on India's education system

The trailer of Emraan Hashmi's much-awaited film 'Cheat India' is finally out and it takes the audience on a journey of discrepancies and corruption in the Indian education system.

Unveiling the trailer of the realistic tale, Emraan took to his official Instagram account, sharing the video of the trailer and captioned the post as, "On your 'marks', get set, CHEAT..... The #CheatIndiaTrailer you've been waiting for: http://bit.ly/CheatIndia-Trailer (Link in my bio as well)."

The trailer of the gripping drama unravels the corruption and malpractices which take place in the education system in India. Focusing on the dark side of the system, it also brings to fore the issues that people have only seen in newspapers and on television.

The movie focuses on the issue of granting fake certificates to undeserving candidates for a bribe. The trailer also introduces the viewers to Emraan in a never-seen-before avatar. With parted hair and moustache, he plays the role of a middleman taking care of all the arrangements for the discrepancies in the system.

He fraudulently gets students into engineering and management colleges and has a whole team of people who write for other candidates, and in the end, everyone gets what they want.

Apart from Emraan, the film also stars Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead role. Helmed by 'Gulaab Gang' director Soumik Sen, this is the second flick from Emraan's production house- Emraan Hashmi Films. 'Cheat India' is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
