Chinese star Li Na slumps to shock defeat in Qatar Open
Top seed Li Na experienced a bewildering loss to a qualifier in the third round of the Qatar Open on Thursday.
The much-celebrated Chinese player lost to Czech player Petra Cetkowska, who is ranked outside the top 100, 7-6 (7-2), 2-6, 6-4.
Cetkowska's solid attacking ground strokes held up well against a forceful Li, reports Sports24.
The match lasted for two hours and 46 minutes.
